GUJARAT STAE POLLUTION CONTROL BOARD

INTRODUCTION

Gujarat Pollution Control Board is a major agency of the Indian state government of Gujarat focusing on environmental protection and public health. The Gujarat Pollution Control Board was established under two major laws, the Water Act 1974 and the Air Act 1981, to ensure that business and other activities in the state do not harm the environment.

• 3.Environmental changes-: Some projects with significant environmental impact require special approval from the state or central government. Gujarat Pollution Control Board assists this process by providing advice and information to the authorities who decide on these approvals.
• Pollution Control Board NOC (No Objection Certificate) -: Starting a new business, expanding an existing business or changing the process will require a Certificate of Approval from Gujarat Pollution Control Board. • 5. Hazardous Waste Management Authorization -: Businesses that generate, process or transport solid waste need to obtain a permit from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board. This ensures that waste should be managed and disposed of safely and in accordance with regulations.
• 6. Water pollution control clearance-: Industrial discharge of wastewater into a river or lake must be approved by the Gujarat Pollution Control Board. This ensures that the wastewater complies with standards and is free of water pollution.

• 14. Biomedical waste management authorization-: Institutions such as hospitals, clinics, laboratories and facilities that use biomedical waste must obtain permission from Gujarat Pollution Control Board. This permit allows the processing and disposal of biomedical waste.
