Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board

Introduction

To preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment for both current and future generations, Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board was established. It is a persistent defender of integrity of the environment and sustainability. It ensures that all the work should be done in accordance to the water act 1974 and the air act 1981, Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board was made in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

Services provided by Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board:

1. Consent to Establish (CTE):  Consent to Establish guarantees that the suggested action will be in accordance with the environmental norms and regulations from the beginning. It is a certification that an industry, process, or plant that has potential to create pollution must be granted by Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board before it can be established, expanded, or modified.
2. Consent to Operate (CTO): To commence operation after establishment of a business or industry, you need to apply for CTO which will be granted by Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board. This certification guarantees continued compliance with the requirements set forth by the board for pollution control measures.
3. Hazardous Waste Management Authorization: The industries that produce hazardous waste must get authorization under Hazardous waste management rules by Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board. This license helps in reducing hazardous waste for public and environmental health by ensuring appropriate handling, storage, transportation, treatment, and disposal of hazardous waste.
4. Electronic Waste Management and Extended Producer Responsibility: Electronic Waste Management is a permit granted by Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board, it allows you to proper handling, recycle, and disposal of electronic devices. Extended Producer Responsibility is a permit granted by Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board, this authorizes the industries to ensure proper collection, recycling and disposal of e-waste generated from their products. Industries that manufacture, refurbish, dispose or recycle are required to take these authorization from Arunachal Pradesh Pollution Control Board.
5. Battery Extended Producer Responsibility: This program focuses on making the manufacturers, importers and producers of batteries responsible for proper collection, recycling and disposal of used batteries.
